The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) serves two purposes: it is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program, and it provides practice for the SAT. Scores range from 320 to 1520. Taking the PSAT in your junior year of high school is essential if you want to qualify for National Merit recognition.
Our PSAT practice test contains 98 original questions matching the current PSAT format. The test covers the same content domains as the SAT — Reading & Writing and Math — but at a slightly lower difficulty ceiling. Questions are calibrated to the PSAT scoring scale.
